FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: thermal loader for a material sample testing bench comprises a platform, a friction element installed on it, as well as a drive of friction element rotation, a support site from a heat-conductive material, an accessory for prevention of support site rotation relative to the platform and an accessory for mutual pressing of the friction element and the site. The support site is made in the form of a split ring for placement in the hole of the sample. The split parts of the ring are serially connected between each other by elastic elements with the possibility of radial displacement. The friction element is made in the form of a cone placed inside the support site as capable of rotation and axial displacement.
EFFECT: investigation of material properties under new conditions of thermomechanical loading as thermal load is applied to different parts of sample volume via holes.
