SUBSTANCE: pocket container includes peripheral band with protruding section forming the first part of container side wall, upper rim part above protruding section, and lower rim part under protruding section, rigid trough-shaped base attached to the lower rim part, and removable cover surrounding the upper rim part of peripheral band. When closed, the cover, peripheral band and base form smooth outer side wall of container. Bottom edge of the lower rim part of peripheral band adjoins or contacts the base bottom, while top edge of the upper rim part of peripheral band adjoins or contacts cover top.

EFFECT: possible placement of label on flat outer surface of container, and maximised inner space for storage of consumer goods.
