FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to endocrine surgery, and may be used for the surgical management of the patients suffering a pathology localised in one lobe of a thyroid gland. The operation is performed from an endoscopic, axillary retroauricular approach. An endovideosurgical hemistrumectomy is performed by mobilising upper and lower poles of the lobe of the thyroid gland to be removed. A lateral surface of the thyroid gland, a parathyroid gland and a recurrent laryngeal nerve are visualised. The parathyroid gland and the recurrent laryngeal nerve is separated from the thyroid gland posteriorly and laterally. An isthmus of the thyroid gland is separated and transected.

EFFECT: method provides a complete visualisation of the recurrent laryngeal nerve and the parathyroid glands ensured by a possibility to inspect the anatomical structures within the operation site at different visual angles, thereby reducing potential injuries; ensured the absence of an 'instrumental conflict'; improves a cosmetic result of the operation.
