FIELD: physics, radio.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used for purposes of radio control, radio monitoring and detection of random low-energy signals. The method is based on analysing fractal properties of received signals. According to the invention, a random low-energy signal is detected by estimating the Hurst exponent and comparing it with a threshold. The method enables to obtain accurate results with signal-to-noise ratio of the processed signal of about minus 10 dB.

EFFECT: low threshold of detecting random low-energy signals.
