SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to means of adaptive control of data transmission rate, capable of estimating the real instantaneous value of the available quality of service of a link for transmitting data and controlling the data transmission rate based on the estimates. Feedback control can be both local with respect to the device for collecting analysis data, e.g. such as a magnetic resonance imaging coil, and on a link by reducing the data transmission rate, at least instantaneously, to match link performance in time.

EFFECT: facilitating gradual reduction of image quality at low data transmission rates.
