FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: preliminary division of bee family into two equal halves in two hives is carried out. One hive is moved aside, and the second is mounted near it on the same height and distance from the original site. The frames with bees, brood and fodder are placed in hives and arranged likewise, the frames with empty comb and beeswax foundation are added. At that on the second day after the division, one or two frames with brood are returned to the main half of the bee family with the queen from the queenless half of bee family . The hive with the queenless half of the bee family is moved away. The hive with the queen and the main half of the family is moved closer to the original site, and the most of the flying bees are returned to it.
EFFECT: simplified technology of division of bee family, increasing the efficiency of formation of nucleus and minimum weakening of the main bee family.
