FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: method is proposed to produce high-density water slip based on quartz glass by means of its grinding in a ball mill with corundum lining and alumina grinding bodies with subsequent stabilisation by mechanical mixing. Initial materials are charged in three stages: first they load 50-60% (by weight) of the rated quantity of quartz glass and 100% of the rated quantity of grinding bodies and water, at the same time the final ratio of glass:grinding bodies is equal to 1:2.8:0.15, then they grind to thinness with residue on the sieve No.0063 in the amount of 0.5-1.0%. At the second and third stages they subsequently supply 20-25% of the rated quantity of quartz sand, and grinding is carried out after each charge to thinness with the residue on the sieve No.0063 equal to 6-9%.

EFFECT: higher density of slip, reduced time of grinding, higher density of foundry goods, reduced subsidence and temperature of sintering, increased density and strength of baked material.
