FIELD: ceramics. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to all-purpose quartz ceramics production technology and enables obtaining large- size products with good strength characteristics and homogeneity of material. Aqueous ceramic slurry preparation comprises preparing powdered filler on ball mill by grinding dry quartz glass for 10 to 60 min at ratio of glass to grinding bodies 1:(1.5- 2.5) followed by pouring initial ceramic slurry with density 1.85-1.89 into mill with just prepared filler in amount 60-90% (calculated for solids), stirring, and passing through 1 mm-mesh grid. Ceramic slurry is then molded into products, which are baked. Fractionation of filler to grain size 0.10- 1.0 mm in amount at least 95% is regulated by grinding time and glass-to-grinding bodies ratio, while upper limit of grains in ceramic slurry is established by 1 mm-mesh grid. In order to prevent exceeding grinding during stirring of slurry, number of grinding bodies in mill is limited by 80% based on the weight of solid phase in slurry. EFFECT: simplified technology and improved operation conditions. 3 cl, 3 ex
