FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed engine comprises housing, two pairs of opposed cylinders and two piston sets. Note here that every piston set is composed of an integral unit with ends and hollow cylindrical body equipped with rack made at its mid part. Engine housing is made with clearance between engine housing and piston sets. Said piston sets are coupled by timing gear having the main shaft extending through the housing in two directions. Overrunning couplings with output shafts engaged with generator shafts are arranged outside the housing and engaged with the main shaft. Timing gear is composed of gear wheel rigidly engaged with said main shaft and racks on piston sets. Engine can comprises control unit while pressure transducer is arranged in every cylinder and electrically connected with control unit. At least one main shaft rpm transducer is electrically connected with control unit while transducer of speed of rotation is electrically connected with said control unit.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, lower vibration loads.
