SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a valve unit for controlling flow of a fluid medium in a horizontal well. A housing can be connected to a flow column. A chamber is formed inside the housing and can be hydraulically linked by a flow channel with the inner annular gap formed near the well bore. A piston and a displacing element can be placed inside the chamber, wherein the displacing element is capable of displacing the piston to a first position. A flow path of the fluid medium is formed inside the housing and is linked to the flow column and the inner annular gap. The flow path may have one or more atomisers arranged therein, and the piston may be configured to move between the first position, which allows the fluid medium to flow through the flow path into the flow column, and a second position which prevents flow of the fluid medium into the flow column.
