SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry. The methane-water mixture is divided into two streams. One gas stream is fed into a water feeding apparatus, mixed with a water aerosol and then merged with the other stream and the mixture is fed the input of the centre electrode of a microwave plasmatron while controlling flow of the streams. A microwave plasma flame is formed in the jet of the methane-water mixture.

EFFECT: invention simplifies the process.
