SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil industry. According to the method for development of high-viscous oil or bitumen deposits at thermal effect that includes drilling of horizontal injection wells and vertical producing wells located in-between the injection wells, injection of heat medium to the injection wells and product extraction from the producing wells, the horizontal wells are drilled in parallel, in opposite directions, with placement of the bottom-hole area opposite the entry of the nearby horizontal well to the formation; then vertical wells are drilled so that the first vertical well is placed closer to the bottom-hole area of the first horizontal well, the second vertical well is closer to the bottom-hole area of the second horizontal well, at that ratio of distances between the first and the second horizontal well and between the first and the second vertical well is equal to 2:1; in the middle between vertical wells the third vertical well is placed.

EFFECT: increasing oil recovery, increasing the coverage range of the formation due to uniform distribution of the formation warm-up zone.
