FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: application: in the field of power engineering. According to the method while controlling transient modes in electric energy system (EES) at discrete time point signals synchronised by a universal time source are generated, these signals are proportional to parameters of voltage vectors generated by the controlled facilities of the unified EES and voltage generators are selected as such facilities included into the system composition; at the preset flexible time range estimation of phase angles expectation and their increments are defined at each discrete time point and while monitoring transient processes in EES a group of disturbed controlled facilities is identified against sharp change in phase angles for at least two controlled facilities on the basis of comparison of phase angle increments with their permitted threshold values; a source of disturbance for the disturbed controlled facilities is indentified against maximum increment of phase angles, at discrete time points an average distance between the disturbed facilities in the group and the disturbance source is determined and this distance is used for assessment of spatial origin of the transient process in EES, a rate of this distance change is used for assessment of transient process speed and its variety in time and against time duration since identification of the disturbed controlled facilities till disturbance stoppage duration of the transient process in EES is assessed.
