FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to membrane technologies and can be used for separation of concentrated gas and can be used in petrochemical, has industries etc. Gas separator comprises gas separation chamber with gas mix feed channel, permeate chamber with permeate discharge channel, membrane section located there between and unit to generate preset-polarity electric field. Note here that said chambers comprise outer end walls composed by electrodes-walls. Said membrane section is composed of at least one electrode-membrane. Said electrode-membrane consists of conducting bed of porous structure electrically connected with permeate chamber electrode-wall. Chamber electrode-wall is coated with polymer composite material gas tight in initial state to pass gas mix permeate there through under effects of pulsed electric field generated in gas mix chamber and membrane section of pulse preset electric current generator electrically connected with said electrodes-walls.
EFFECT: higher separation efficiency, stable process, simplified design, lower production and operation costs.
