FIELD: separation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to membrane separation of gas mixture and can be used in gas processing, petrochemical and chemical industries. Method of separating a gas mixture is characterized by that the target component of the gas mixture is a component with the lowest ionisation energy. During separation the gas mixture is heated to the ionization temperature of the target component of the gas mixture. Heated gas mixture is blown and spun through a membrane separator with a cylindrical membrane, which is placed in a magnetic field. Direction of the magnetic field is opposite to the direction of flow of the gas mixture.

EFFECT: invention provides high degree of selectivity of extracting the target component of the gas mixture with the lowest ionisation energy.
