FIELD: oil-and-gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: in compliance with proposed method, at least two pairs of horizontal injection and production wells with their horizontal sections located in parallel one above the other. Heat carrier is injected via upper horizontal injection wells and, simultaneously, high-viscosity oil is extracted through lower horizontal production wells. High-viscosity oil is sampled one to two times a month at every pair of horizontal wells space apart by 100 to 150 meters. Oil samples are dewatered to analyse oil viscosity. Then, pairs of horizontal wells are selected with oil viscosity differing by 10% and more to analyse the influence of variation in high-viscosity oil of said pairs of well on steam chambers heating uniformity and to control heat carrier injection conditions and product extraction. Yield and viscosity are monitored.
