FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to automotive gearbox control and to carrier. Proposed method consists in changing from 1st gear whereat carrier acceleration is zero to 2nd gear whereat carrier acceleration is positive or zero. Downshift comprises gearshift mid stage between 1st and 2nd gears. Engine maximum rpm at every mid stage equals or exceeds maximum engine rpm at previous gearshift mid stage. Engine maximum rpm at every mid stage exceeds maximum engine rpm at previous gearshift mid stage. Proposed system comprises control unit to exercise control over gearbox. Control is exercised by performing aforesaid jobs. Carrier, say, truck or bus can incorporate above described system.
EFFECT: efficient engine output power control at gear shifting.
