FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely, to control of electric parameters of an ore-thermal furnace in melting of phosphorus. The method includes loading and melting of charge in a furnace, measurement of electrode current and voltage in process of melting, consumed power, value of constant component of phase voltage of electrodes and furnace and adjustment of operating capacity of the furnace by switching stages of the furnace transformer, movement of electrodes and/or correction of loaded charge composition. In process of melting they additionally determine the value of the share of arc current in the electrode current, besides, the working capacity of the furnace is adjusted depending on the value of mismatch with the specified value of arc current share in the electrode current equal to 5-10%.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce specific consumption of raw materials and electric energy, to increase efficiency of a furnace and quality of a manufactured product.
