FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production machines, namely, to the machines which are equipped by an emergency braking system intended for abrupt braking of the rotating shaft of a production machine to protect the production machine user and which comprises a brake drum and at least one brake block that are put into braking contact with each other to brake the shaft. The brake drum and at least one brake block are made and arranged so that the contact between the brake drum and the brake block is provided due to the centrifugal force generated by the shaft rotation.
EFFECT: braking of a production machine is provided without direct contact with a working tool.
