FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of power engineering and can be used in magnetohydrodynamic generators (MHD), mainly generating power equal to tens or hundreds of kilowatts. The technical result lies in use of water fuel by means of water disassociation into hydrogen and oxygen and burning of this hydrogen as well as in that the body performs a simultaneous function of a combustion chamber as the body is made in the form of de Laval nozzle. The MHD-generator contains a body 1 made in the form of de Laval nozzle, an injector 2 to supply water or water steam to this nozzle input, electrodes 3 to create a high-voltage arc, a magnetic system 4 placed in the area of the nozzle (diffuser) divergent part and means 5 for current collection (electrodes). The means 5 can be made inductive (i.e. electrodeless). MHD-generator contains additional nozzle 6 for delivery of water or water steam to the injector 1 in its convergent area.

EFFECT: possible connection of several MHD-generators into a series circuit or a series-parallel circuit with formation of a pack of MHD-generators in order to increase power for generated electric energy.
