FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to eclectic engineering and can be used for manufacture of magnetohydrodynamic power generation (MHD) systems based on MHD-generators generating power in tens and hundreds of kilowatts. The MHD system contains at least two MHD-generators each of them consisting of a body 1 (7) in the form of de Laval nozzle, at least one injector 2 (8) for water or water steam delivery to the input of the nozzle, a piezoelectric element for water steam generation. Electrodes 3 (9) for high-voltage arc generation are mounted in the input part of de Laval nozzle. A magnetic system 4 (10), means 5 (11) for electric current collection are placed in the area of divergent section of de Laval nozzle. MHD-generators are mounted in series so that in the process of operation working medium outgoing from the divergent section of de Laval nozzle 1 of the previous MHD-generator comes to the input of de Laval nozzle 7 of the next MHD-generator. The means 5 for electric current collection of the previous MHD-generator is connected electrically to electrodes 9 in order to generate high-voltage arc of the next MHD-generator and by a magnet of the magnetic system 10 for the next MHD-generator.
EFFECT: simplification of design, increase in power and decrease in own costs of the generated power.
