FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: hose coupling to be set at the end of a wire armoured hose comprises a unitary shank fitted by a groove section to grip wires with its outer diameter being larger than the inner diameter of the hose pipe and less than the inner hose diameter in the place where the pipe is cleared from the hose. The unitary crimp barrel is fitted by at least one fin to grip wires which corresponds to the wire gripping groove and has the inner diameter being less than the outer diameter of the wire-armoured hose and larger than the inner hose diameter in the place where the material coating the wire is cleared off from the hose. The groove width amounts to at least the fin width plus double diameter of the wire armouring the hose. Epoxy adhesive can be applied between the hose pipe and the shank for sealing purposes or the adhesive can be applied in the gap between the crimp barrel or the shank so that it penetrates the wire. Coupling installation method and hose unit is described.
EFFECT: higher reliability of an armoured hose connection.
