SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device to lift railway vehicles. Device to lift railway vehicle (3) on rail (5) comprises bearing frame (7) resting at least partially on said rail and lifting element (9) mounted at said bearing frame to lift railway vehicle wheel (11) above rail (5). Bearing frame (7) comprises at least the first bearing element (13) to rest on the rail at first position (15) and second bearing element (19) to rest on the ground at second position (21). Lifting element (9) comprises stationary base (35) and moving lifting element (37) that displaces relative to stationary base to apply lifting force and to displace the vehicle (3). Lifting element (9) includes extra retainer (45) to lock said moving lifting element at stationary vase.
EFFECT: hoisting device that allows lifted vehicle to turn.
