SUBSTANCE: image processing apparatus has a hard disk capable of storing an application program which is installed in the image processing apparatus; a control means capable of controlling the image processing apparatus to operate in a disintegration mode, wherein the hard disk is not used if the hard disk has an error, wherein said control means controls the image processing apparatus not to operate in disintegration mode if the hard disk stores an application program associated with a security function.
EFFECT: preventing operation of the apparatus in disintegration mode when a security function is unavailable.
