SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an information transmission device which is mounted inside a tyre and is designed to transmit information about the tyre. The tyre condition monitoring system includes a transmission device, a receiving device and a monitoring unit. The transmission device includes a sensor which obtains tyre information, which represents data on the condition of gas filling the tyre cavity, which is bounded by the tyre and a rim, a transmitter and a housing. The transmitter wirelessly transmits the obtained tyre information. The sensor and the transmitter are enclosed in the housing. The surface of the housing has an inlet opening for an air duct which links the inner space of the housing with the tyre cavity, said inlet opening being formed in the top part of the protrusion which protrudes in one direction relative to the surface of the housing. The area of the inlet opening of the air duct is not greater than 0.4 mm2. The height of the protrusion is not less than 1 mm. In the presence of a contact plane, which is in contact with the top part and perpendicular to the direction in which the protrusion protrudes, the contact area between the contact plane and the top part is not more than 30% the area of the inlet opening.
