FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves collecting expired breath condensate (expirate), preparing a biological sensor - luminescent lyophilised bacteria Ecolume, adding expirate 0.5 cm3 to the biological sensor 0.5 cm3, exposing for 15 minutes, measuring a luminescence intensity of a mixture of the bacterial suspension and condensate for 1000 s, recording its maximum ("Иоп", imp/sec), comparing this value to an analogous parameter "Ик", imp/sec derived by introducing an equal amount of distilled water into a bioluminometer tray instead of condensate, specifying the coefficient K as a relation of "Иоп/Ик", additionally determining an estimated biological age (EBA, years) of a person being tested, calculating a relation of the biological and chronological (CA) ages - EBA/CA, and if K>1 (high level of oxygen radicals) with EBA/CA>1, insufficient functional reserves of the human body are stated; if K≤1 (productive antioxidant systems) and EBA/CA≤1, an optimum level is stated; K≤1, EBA/CA>1 show an inconclusive assessment result, antioxidant balance monitoring and an in-depth functional study.

EFFECT: method enables avoiding the fragmented nature of the assessment, determining a degree of the body stress and effective directions of therapeutic and preventive measures to create conditions for up-coming transition of the body functioning.
