SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of purifying gas mixtures, in particular natural gas, containing mercaptans and other acidic gases, as well as to solution, absorbing said pollutants. Method of purifying gas mixture, containing mercaptan and/or ethyl mercaptan and other acidic gases, includes stage of bringing said gas mixture in contact with absorbing solution, which contains diethanolamine, ethoxylated polyethylene imine and water, with average molecular weight of ethoxylated. Polyethylene constituting from 500 to 106 g/mol.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to ensure effective absorption of methyl mercaptan and/or ethyl mercaptan, contained in gas mixture.
