FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of regenerating a hybrid solvent used to remove contaminants from a fluid medium stream. Method of regenerating a hybrid solvent is used to remove contaminants from a stream of hydrocarbon fluid containing acid gases, such as carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrogen sulphide (H2S), sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbon disulphide (CS2), carbonyl sulphide (COS) and/or mercaptans, and to provide an improved output of the purified fluid. Said method includes at least one purification unit and at least one regeneration unit in which condensed water from the regeneration unit is combined with the regenerated depleted hybrid solvent before reuse in the purification unit, and condensed water is not repeatedly fed into regeneration unit.

EFFECT: invention improves conventional solvent regeneration technology for use in processing fluids and reduces the amount of energy required to obtain a stream of a lean solvent from the stream of the rich solvent, and also enables to provide a higher yield of the purified liquid.
