FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a method for preparation of arginine bicarbonate. The method provides a reaction of carbonic oxide having a pressure of at least 34474 Pa (5 pounds per square inch) and an initial water suspension containing arginine at min. temperature of 30°C. Then arginine is added to the reacting suspension to increase the arginine content to more than 65 wt %. Thereafter, the suspension rich in arginine reacts with carbon dioxide until pH of the suspension reaches 9 or higher; arginine bicarbonate is recovered from the suspension. Arginine is used in the form of a free base or a salt.
EFFECT: presented method enables preparing high-concentrated solutions of arginine bicarbonate without reaction monitoring.
