FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of chemistry, namely to a method of producing arginine bicarbonate. The method includes contact of carbon dioxide, which has pressure from 6895 Pa (1 psi) to 68947 Pa (10 psi), with an initial arginine-containing suspension at a temperature from 60 to 80°C and pH from 10 to 14 to form a suspension or a solution, including arginine and anion of bicarbonate under conditions of turbulence, created by carbon dioxide recirculation. After that, a contact of the suspension or the solution with carbon dioxide is realised until the suspension or the solution form a solution with pH lower than 9, and extraction of arginine bicarbonate from the solution is carried out.
EFFECT: methods make it possible to obtain arginine bicarbonate with high concentrations in the solution in a faster way.
