FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: communication device includes a first radio (106, 300), configured to support wireless communication with a second radio (104) using multiple communication modes. The device includes a switching element (118, 326), configured to cause transmission of the first radio when activated. The device also includes a control element (306, 324) for detecting one or more activations of the switching element and is configured to select one of the multiple communication modes based on the sequence of activations of the switching element detected by the control element during a given time interval, and cause wireless transmission from the first radio to the second radio according to one of the multiple communication modes.
EFFECT: efficient use of communication system configurations using a simplified user interface.
