SUBSTANCE: device for processing linen comprises a drum for holding the linen, and the said drum has an open front side, an open rear side, and a cross-section constituting a non-circular closed curve in which the distance from the centre of rotation of the drum to the inner drum surface is uneven, at that the cross-section of the drum comprises a first part with the same curvature; a circular guide for supporting the first part of the drum; and a panel provided on the front part or the rear side of the drum, for such support of the circular guide, that the circular guide rotates relative to the panel.

EFFECT: ability to fix maximum easily the space for holding the linen.
