SUBSTANCE: balancer includes a balancer housing having an annular channel formed therein, at least one mass disposed in the said channel for movement, and at least one magnet coupled to one side of the balancer housing to prevent mass movement over the said channel, when the rotation speed of the drum of the washing machine is within a predetermined range. The said magnet includes a plurality of single magnets arranged in the circumferential direction of the balancer housing.
