FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: oxygen hose segment is used as the housing. Parallel to the long axis of the device the cut (1) is made ending at a distance of 25 mm to the cuts on both sides and performing a function of the feeding opening, in the wall of the housing between the edge and the centre a rectangular opening (2) is made. The larger size of the cut rectangle coincides with the longitudinal axis of the housing, forming a window for accessing for manipulations with the dorsal surface of the rat, and along the circumferential cross-section of the housing, starting from the longitudinal cut the incisions (3) are made with the length of 25 mm to fit the cover by the walls of the device the body of the animal on its thickness.
EFFECT: use of invention facilitates access to the fixed animal for manipulations, enables to fix the animal to the extent of full immobilisation, to perform disinfection of the device.
