FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: device for fixation of laboratory animals comprises a housing with a loading opening and is equipped with a rack. The device comprises as the housing the segment of soft-elastic tube of cylindrical shape with two ribbon crimp clamps of stainless steel with a screw transmitting force along the worm type. To form the loading opening along the entire length of the housing parallel to the long axis of the device there is a longitudinal cut, and on the side opposite to the longitudinal cut from the side of the head and rear end at a distance of 3 cm from the edges of the housing there are two openings for front and rear legs. The rack is formed as a rectangular wooden base with the length of 200 mm, width of 100 mm and thickness of 30 mm, in which four nails with the size of 120 mm are fixed at a depth of 30 mm at a distance of 25 mm from the edges of the base. The device housing is made of pipe for heat insulation "stenoflex" with the length of 200 mm, diameter of 42 mm, and the wall thickness of 9 mm. The openings for front and rear legs are made of rectangular shape with size of 10×15 mm. The device also additionally comprises at least one working opening for operation with the animal.

EFFECT: use of invention enables to fix the animal to the extent of complete immobilisation.
