FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: device consists of two bridge circuits with different conductivity direction for positive and negative alternating voltage half-periods respectively connected in parallel to the mains conductors, each of the circuits include two circuits of an in series storage capacitor and a power thyristor. Thyristors in these circuits ensure charge of storage capacitors in the first and third quarter-periods of alternating voltage respectively. At that free leads of the capacitors in the first and second branch of each bridge circuit are connected to a phase and zero wire of the supply mains respectively. In diagonals of the first and second bridge circuits there are switching power thyristors which ensure in-series connection of the storage capacitors in two branches of each bridge circuit to the wires of the supply mains in the second and fourth quarter-periods of alternating voltage respectively for the first and second bridge circuits and control of the thyristor switching as per the preset algorithm is implemented by the thyristor control unit.

EFFECT: potential identification of electric meters allowing counterclockwise reading of electric energy when the claimed device is connected to the mains downwards the calculation counter, potential application of the device as a volt-adding device in the mains with low voltage due to losses at the end of a loaded power transmission line of rather a solid length.
