FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to marine ships, particularly, gas tankers intended for liquefied natural gas transfer and storage at low temperatures. Gas tanker comprises several tanks arranged in cargo spaces arranged along the ship lengthwise direction. Tanks feature cylindrical shape with end face bulkheads and with lengthwise axis oriented in vertical. Note gas tanker features ice-breaker bow with waterline angle of entry relative to tanker centreline plane while its stem features the angle of inclination to waterline not exceeding 30 degrees. Tank material represents aluminium-magnesium alloy, primarily of grade 1561.
EFFECT: optimised configuration of cargo spaces, low labour input in manufacture, enhanced performances.
