UNDERWATER GAS CARRIER FOR TRANSPORTATION OF LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS FROM THE ARCTIC REGIONS Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC B63G8/00 B63B3/13 B63B25/16

Abstract RU 2779768 C1

FIELD: underwater shipbuilding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of underwater shipbuilding, in particular to underwater gas carriers for transporting liquefied gases from the Arctic regions, regardless of hydrometeorological conditions and the state of the ice cover. An underwater gas carrier is proposed, which is made as a single-hull with an outer strong hull, a bottom surface smoothly mated with rectilinear vertical side surfaces, which above the load waterline are made with an inclination to the horizontal plane at an angle of 30-35° and smoothly mated with the upper part of the strong hull, which is made in the form of a longitudinal horizontal flat surface, at least 15 m wide. The fore and aft ends are made in the form of a horizontally oriented wide sharp wedge, smoothly mated with parts of the outer strong hull. A passage is made along the diametrical plane from the bow to the aft part, along which horizontally oriented cargo tanks of a prismatic shape are installed along the sides and parallel to the diametrical plane, tapering in the upper part. At the aft end near the bottom, at least three propellers are installed, and at least two bow and two stern thrusters are installed side by side in the contours of a strong hull while maintaining its tightness. The command module is made shock-absorbed to protect against vibrations and shock loads, and the control post in the surface position and the block of antenna devices for surveillance and communication systems are made with the possibility of their extension in the surface position from the contours of the strong hull.

EFFECT: expanding the operational capabilities of the gas carrier.
