FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing sodium allyl suphonate involves reacting sodium sulphite and allyl chloride in a heterogeneous aqueous-organic medium in the presence of methoxy polyethylene glycol methacrylates (with 23-45 ethoxyl links) as phase-transfer catalysts. Synthesis is carried out at temperature of 30-40°C, synthesis time of 2-4 hours and molar ratio of sodium sulphite to allyl chloride of (1.0-1.1):1.0, concentration of methoxy polyethylene glycol methacrylate of 0.05-0.1% with respect to the mass of the aqueous phase. The obtained homogeneous aqueous sodium allyl sulphonate solution can be used without further purification for synthesis of super-plasticisers by radical terpolymerisation with methoxy polyethylene glycol methacrylates and (meth)acrylic acid.
EFFECT: simple technology of producing sodium allyl sulphonate when producing super-plasticisers for cement mixtures, low power consumption, preventing formation of waste water and high output of the end product.
