SUBSTANCE: method is realised through communication of a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and a signal simulator via a radio link, where the signal simulator receives in real time a SAR probing signal, transfers said signal to an intermediate frequency, digitises, delays to the beginning of the simulated scene signal with corresponding radial velocity, rolls up with a pulsed scene characteristic which is offset and pre-calculated for each update cycle, compensates for the effect of the introduced offset of the pulsed scene characteristic with a simulated radar scene image, transfers the obtained signal to carrier frequency and re-emits towards the SAR.
EFFECT: high reliability of simulating a reflected synthetic aperture radar signal.
