FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: vibration absorber comprises two supports set in parallel, a resilient hysteretic element rigidly fixed in the supports and fastening members. A spiral compression spring wound from one, three or more strands is fixed in each of the supports by its conical part by means of a bolt. The compression springs are screwed together by their cylindrical parts. A rope is wound on the compression springs with a radial tension along their turns in two mutually perpendicular directions so that two cylindrical springs with mutually perpendicular axes are formed. Turns of the cylindrical springs in the supports are set in grooves and are closely pressed to each other. Each turn of the rope and both its ends are fixed in each of the supports by a cover, a bolt, a resilient washer and a nut. The cover is fitted by two projections by which it is installed in the casing groove without a gap and is put on the cylindrical spring of a larger diameter. The supports and covers are made from natural steel or an aluminium alloy. Sharp edges of the holes through which the resilient hysteretic element comes out from the supports are rounded by a radius.
EFFECT: increased strength, improved damping and shock resistant characteristics.
