FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to timber industry, wood-processing industry, and can be applied in standing wood certification at forestries and lumber camps, and in certification of round and sawn lumber at raw wood treatment and mechanical timber processing facilities. Method involves comparative test at least at one process operation of mechanical timber processing, between ultrasonic test of core samples and at least one standardised test method with standard samples, such as wood strength test with 20x20x30 mm samples, further calculation of transition factor values for acoustic parameters of core samples taken from growing wood or stapled round and sawn lumber to wood strength in standard samples made of the same materials, and further extension of transition factors obtained to the whole wood batch produced at the same wood-cutting area or forestry. After core sampling, standard samples are made and measured by ultrasonic instrument and further tested for mechanical parameters, and test results are used to calculate transition factors between ultrasonic parameters for core samples and standard samples and transition factors between ultrasonic parameters of core samples and mechanical parameters of standard samples.
EFFECT: improved test reliability and extended functionality.
