FIELD: motors and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuously variable transmissions. The variator consists of a driving wheel with grooves located inside, along which the guides with satellites move, which rotate the driven gear. The satellites can move on the side part of the driving wheel from the centre to the outer radius, thereby changing the radius of the driving gear. The torque of the driven gear is transmitted only through one satellite, which is located at the required distance from the centre of the driving wheel. The gear reduction is carried out by moving the driven gear perpendicular to the axis of rotation by the external drive. In order the variator output shaft alters speed of rotation from zero, in this structure the differential on the basis of planetary gear set is applied.
EFFECT: increase in the maximum permissible torque, lifetime and reliability is achieved.
