FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrument making. Eddy current far field detector is fitted in cylindrical pipes to displace therein. This device can be used for measurement of pipe wall depth and comprises radiating frame and multiple receivers arranged in symmetry on opposite sides of said radiating frame and frame excitation circuit. Besides, it includes the circuit to receive signal from every receiver and to process said signal with ruled out dual indication of flaws. Said signal is a convolved signal proportional to pipe wall depth nearby every said receiver. Multiple symmetric receivers are composed by two pairs of frames. Every pair is located on every side of radiating frame at spacing L1=k1×dz and L2=k2×dz, where k1 and k2 have no common divisor while dz is the length. Removal of false flaws from measurements comprises determination of linear combination of signals of multiple symmetrically arranged receiver frames.
EFFECT: possibility to remove false artefacts.
