SUBSTANCE: invention relates to logging of wells. Core of the invention is as follows: performed are electromagnetic measurements of the phase shift and attenuation using an emitter and a receiver, magnetic moments of which have a direction parallel to the logging device axis, performed are electromagnetic measurements of the phase shift and attenuation using the emitter and the receiver, magnetic moments of which have a direction skewed to the logging device axis, converted are the measured phase shift and attenuation into an equivalent response of a dipole antenna, determined is the horizontal resistivity of formations on the basis of the measurements at the parallel direction of magnetic moments using a formation model with a layered structure, determined are the vertical resistivity, the formations layers boundaries and the formations angles of incidence on the basis of the measurements at the skewed direction of magnetic moments.
