FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to means of optical detection of joints. A device contains a measuring unit for irradiation with light of a subject's body part and the simultaneous detection of light weakening, with a frequency of selection for the local detection being higher than the frequency of the subject's heart rate. The device is additionally made with a possibility of presenting information about the state of, at least, one joint by comparison of results of the joint measurement and, at least, one other section of the body's part with different states of the blood flow, induced in the period of different phases of the pressure pulse, conditioned by contractions of the subject's heart. The method consists in the device application.
EFFECT: application of the invention makes it possible to increase reliability and quality of the joint state detection.
