FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment. Device for determining health status of human subject comprises control module and means for providing pulse wave data reflecting heart rhythm of human subject. Pulse wave data are obtained. Part of the pulse wave data characterizing multiple periods of the cardiac cycle is selected. Blood pulse variability, respiratory rate variability and heart rate variability are determined based on the pulse wave data of the pulse wave data. Correlation value is determined on the basis of blood pressure variability, respiratory frequency variability and heart rate variability and corresponding reference value. Health status of the subject is determined based on the correlation value. In another embodiment, the first and second indices characterizing heart rate variability are determined on the basis of pulse wave data of part of pulse wave data characterizing multiple periods of cardiac cycle. Second index differs from the first one. Health status of the subject is determined based on the first and second indices. Determining the first index comprises determining a plurality of respiratory rate intervals based on pulse wave data of a portion of pulse wave data and determining a first index based on a plurality of respiratory time intervals.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of determining biological parameters of an individual, such as heart rate, frequency of respiratory movements, blood pressure and variability of these values.
