FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: annular adsorber, having a cylindrical housing with a cover and a bottom, having an elliptical shape, wherein the cover is fitted with loading and inspection holes, wherein the loading hole is connected to a compensator hopper located in the cover, and a nozzle for feeding the starting mixture, drying and cooling air is located in the lower part of the housing in which there are supports for the base under external and internal perforated cylinders, wherein spent adsorbent is unloaded through an unloading hole located in the lower part of the housing, which is mounted in at least three adjustment legs, and a nozzle for removing vapour and condensate during desorption and for feeding water is located in the bottom in which is mounted a nozzle for removing cleaned gas and spent air and for feeding steam, wherein said nozzle is mounted through a collector having two channels, where one of said channels has a valve for the desorption process, and a bubbler, the bubbler having a toroidal shape on the entire height of the perforated cylinders, and a nozzle for a protective valve is placed in the top part of the housing, and the adsorption and desorption process occurs at the following optimum ratios of components of the apparatus: coefficient of perforation of the toroidal surface of the bubbler lies in the optimum range of K=0.5…0.9; the ratio of the height H of the cylindrical part of the housing to its diameter D is in the optimum range of H/D=2.0…2.5; the ratio of the height H of the cylindrical part of the housing to the thickness S of its wall is in the optimum range of H/S=580…875, the adsorbent is in form of a cylindrical ring to whose side surface is attached two opposite hemispherical surfaces such that diametral planes of the hemispheres coincide with the top and bottom bases of the cylindrical ring, respectively, and apexes of the hemispherical surfaces lie on the axis of the ring and are directed towards each other.
EFFECT: high degree of purifying a gas stream from a desired component by increasing the area of contact of the adsorbent with the desired component.
