FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed screw conveyor includes two shafts (3, 4) with screw surfaces (5, 6) accommodated in carrying chute (1) with curved shelter (2) with upward convexity. In the first version, the shelter is made with vertical steel sheet (10) attached to shelter inner surface and placed along longitudinal axis of conveyor. On the bottom edge of this sheet, horizontal steel sheet (11) is attached with gap (12) over screw surfaces of shafts. Horizontal sheet width exceeds width of gap between screw surfaces of shafts. Vectors of shaft circumferential speeds are directed towards chute side walls. In the second version, shelter flanges (13, 14) connecting the shelter with chute flanges (15, 16) are made of increased width with shift of inner edges towards shafts and placed with gaps (17, 18) over them. Vectors of shaft circumferential speeds are directed away from chute side walls.
EFFECT: load lockup against rotation is provided, load transfer speed is increased, conveyor reliability is improved.
