FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipe production and can be used for chemical treatment of pipes made of carbon and low-alloy pipes prior to drawing. Proposed method comprises pipe etching and application of protective and lubing coat by processing the pipes in lubricant Dexlube 498 with water content of 0.6-2.0%, acid number of at least 90 points and temperature of 60-75°C.
EFFECT: stable deformation of metal, stable process, sufficient pipe quality.
